What Makes the Best Roast Dinner?

The Mila's Sunday Roast

Our Sunday roast is a true showcase of Mila’s style – tradition meets innovation.

Expect beautifully cooked meats like Wagyu beef, lamb rump, and corn-fed chicken, paired with crisp roast potatoes, glazed root vegetables, and a signature Yorkshire pudding.

Vegetarian and vegan guests can enjoy our flame-roasted cauliflower steak with lemon and herb couscous.

Each plate reflects our chefs’ obsession with detail – from sourcing and seasoning to presentation.

Balanced, generous, and full of flavour, it’s a Sunday experience designed to surprise and satisfy, whether you’re celebrating or simply indulging in a perfect end to the week.

Our Roast Dinner Ingredients

At Mila’s, every ingredient has a story. We partner with Thomas Joseph Butchery for premium, dry-aged British beef and lamb, and select the finest seasonal vegetables from trusted local growers.

Our produce is chosen for its freshness, provenance and sustainability, ensuring every plate is rooted in quality and respect for flavour. Cooking over open flame brings out natural textures and aromas, creating dishes that feel both rustic and refined.

From farm to fire to table, our focus is simple – elevate great ingredients through care, craft and creativity, delivering an unforgettable roast experience in the heart of Essex.

“Open-flame cooking is in our DNA. At least one component of practically every dish touches the flame, from our finest cuts of meat, to our fresh vegetables and sides.”

Mila's Roast Dinner FAQs

Our Sunday roasts are served from 12pm to 6pm every Sunday, so you can enjoy our famous flavours from lunchtime through to the early evening.

Yes, our full à la carte menu is still available on Sundays if you’d like something different from our traditional Sunday roast dinners.

We source only the highest quality ingredients and produce from reputable suppliers, both locally in Essex and across the UK.

For example, our finest cuts of Wagyu beef are sourced from the award-winning Thomas Joseph Butchery, not far from us in Brentwood.

We offer a variety of meats for our Sunday roast, including delicious dry-aged Wagyu beef, succulent lamb rump, and rich corn-fed chicken.

Alongside the finest cuts of meat, our roast dinners are accompanied with a medley of vibrant sides and fresh vegetables.

This includes rosemary, olive oil and pink peppercorn roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, glazed carrots and parsnips, roasted peppers and tenderstem broccoli, and verde giant couscous.

For vegetarian and vegan diners, we offer a flame-roasted cauliflower steak in place of the traditional meat in our Sunday roast dinners.

We will also happily adapt our menu if you would prefer a gluten-free meal. All three starters on our roast dinner menu are also gluten-free.

Our main Sunday roast dinner menu does not contain nuts, and we can comfortably adjust your meal based on allergies and other dietary requirements.

Where possible, we request informing us of any dietary requirements when you book so we can prepare accordingly for your visit.
